About Ever-Green Turf & Landscape

Our History

Few local Miami County businesses can boast the local flavor that defines Ever-Green Turf and Landscaping.

In 1975, well-known local businessman and basketball official Jim Sackett started the business. Ten years later, a young employee and Wright State graduate, Joe Duncan, bought the company from Sackett. For the next 36 years, Duncan dedicated himself to giving local Miami County residents the kind, personal service that made them feel comfortable and proud of their landscaping.

Recently, the company has transitioned again to 17-year Ever-Green veteran Kirk Persinger, who grew up under Duncan’s personal oversight of sales, service, and responsibility for customer satisfaction.

“With so many customer options for service, there’s no other way than to be personally responsible, whenever possible,” says Persinger. “Now more than ever, it’s priority one with every client, residential or commercial.

“And even with Mother Nature’s unpredictable temperament, we still promise commitment to the adjustments necessary with each new growing season. There’s no such thing as ‘one size fits all’ in the lawn and landscape industry.”

Now, more than ever, Duncan’s promise of the proverbial ‘Golden Rule’ for customer service and satisfaction is Persinger’s commitment to the future. And with so many lawn care options out there, wouldn’t you rather have someone you know by name and can call and get a personal response? You can trust Ever-Green through our reputation in the community that we’ll deliver what we promise.

“More than ever,” adds Persinger. “We want your property to look as good, or better, than our own. We live here, work here, and take pride in every lawn we service — beginning with yours!"

“As with my original letter of introduction in 2020, at the time of the transfer of Ever-Green from Joe Duncan to yours truly, this is a time of great change…but of continued stability, as well.

Our upgrade of this website is little more than a more secure, simplified opportunity to share information and new services with you in the future — proof, as I wrote then, that we’re still at the top of our game.

It’s been three years now of expanded services and commitment to making your phone call to Ever-Green the end of your headache, and the beginning of satisfaction with how your property, residential or commercial, can look its best. Our commitment for fifty years has been…to treat your landscape as we would treat our own.

Nothing’s changed, especially this.

In a day of uncertainty over who’s doing the work and respect for your security, Ever-Green is still one of the area's oldest, privately-owned service companies. Phone calls are answered by someone in the office. You will know us by name and our reputation for personal service. You get comfort, a competitive price, and confidence that the work will be done right.

Still at the top of our game, Ever-Green can grow a better lawn and design a better landscape for you.”
